Savannah State University prepares next generation of journalists through the JMC Media Experience
Savannah State University’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communications hosted the Frank Callen Boys and Girls Club on Thursday as a part of the JMC Media Experience Program in Whiting Hall at Savannah State University. SSU's JMC Media Experience purpose is to expose students to communications and media and to show students the career opportunities and paths available in media. Students had the opportunity to tour the JMC Mass Communications facilities on Thursday. Kareem McMichael chairs the JMC Media Experience program. The team includes Dr. Julianna Trammel, Francisco Duque, Terry Manning, William Martin, and Evelyn Williamson. Savannah State University's Department of Journalism and Mass Communication has a concentration program in journalism, public relations, and strategic communication, or multimedia and digital communication leading to a baccalaureate degree.
